Tuna Noodle Casserole

I freeze half of it for a later meal.

Cook 6 ounces (3cups) medium noodles using pkg. directions; drain.
Combine noodles, 2 cans tuna, drained, 1/2 cup mayonaise, 1 cup sliced celery, 1/3 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup chopped green pepper, 1/4 cup chopped pimento, & 1/2 tsp salt. 
In pan blend one can mushroom or celery soup (your preference, both good) & 1/2 cup milk, heat through.  Add 6 ounces sharp process American cheese, shredded  (1 cup) and stir til cheese melts. 
Add to noodle mixture.  Pour into one (or 2) buttered casserole dish(es).
Top with 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds.
Bake uncovered  at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
