Fudgy Chocolate Torte with Chocolate Drizzled Sauce

Very Rich and Very Good
Makes a very good impression.
Looks like a professional made it.




1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup semisweet choc. chips
1 pkg. Betty Crocker Supermoist Choc. Fudge Cake mix
1/2 cup veg. oil
1 cup applesauce
2 eggs
1/3 cup chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease springform pan 9 or 10 x 3:, with shortening.
Lightly flour pan.
Microwave milk and choc. chips in small microwavable bowl uncovered on medium (50 %) power about 1 minute or until chocolate is melted.
Set aside.
Beat cake mix (dry) with oil in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds.  Mixture will be crumbly;
Reserve 1 cup.  Set aside.
Beat applesauce and eggs into remaining cake mixture on low speed 30 seconds. (Batter will be thick and grainy)
Beat on medium speed 2 minutes.  Spread in pan.
Drop condensed milk/chocolate chip mixture by spoonfuls over batter.  Dropping more around the edges then in the center.
Stir pecans into reserved cake mixture.
Sprinkle this over batter.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until center is set.  Cool 10 minutes. Remove sides of the pan
Cool completely.

Sauce: (double this for extra sauce if needed)
1/3 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Serve slice of this cake on a plate with a scoop of ice cream, and drizzle the chocolate sauce on the cake, and ice cream.
