Halibut with Herb Sauce

From Epicurious.  Fresh and tangy.

6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

6 6-ounce halibut fillets
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Puree first 5 ingredients in processor. Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper.

Preheat broiler. Brush fish with 2 tablespoons oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil until just opaque in center, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer fish to plates. Spoon sauce over and serve.

I just made this for company and it was delicious -- and easy. I'd like to try it with salmon...I put some of the sauce over some shrimp for a pregnant guest and that went over famously, too. I served it with cous cous and Dilly Beets.

Diantha, does that mean that in the US you can give pregnant women shrimp but not white fish? Because in UK it's recommended you eat white fish if pregnant, but not shrimp...

this dad to be was very iffy about haliobut, mom-to-be not so much...i hadn't heard halibut was on the don't eat list...and later i talked to other parents who said they thought halibut was fine. but these folks were not eating it just to be extra safe. I think that the heavier, oilier fish are considered not as safe here as crustaceans (not bivalves) from a reliable source. the baby is now a robust toddler.
